Khaki Pinafore

Khaki Pinafore
I have a confession to make...My name is Izabela and I'm turning into a shopaholic. I recently went to Next to buy a birthday present for my Dad but I instead of heading straight to the menswear section, I ended up browsing through their dresses.

There were so many goodies that caught my eye but as a huge fan of pinafores this season, I couldn't resist the urge to add another one to my collection.

This khaki pinafore ticks all the boxes for me as it comes with a separate ruffle-sleeve top. Just like other Next clothes I own, it is true to the size and will definitely see me throughout the year.

What do you think of today's look? Have you bought anything new lately?

How to Style White Jeans for Autumn/Winter

How to style white jeans for autumn/winter
Someone once told me that it's a huge fashion faux pas to wear white jeans in the winter. As a rebel, I completely disagree. White jeans can definitely be worn all year round! They are like a blank canva that allows you to create many great looks.

The best way to embrace white denim during the colder months is to pair it with a cosy  knitwear. As a new convert to the roll-neck jumper craze, I teamed my jeans with a brown one. To maintain the autumnal colour throughout my outfit, I also added a green coat, orange bag and metallic bronze brogues.

If you are contemplating whether to wear white denim this season, I strongly urge you to  go for it. At the end of the day, all fashion rules are there to be broken.

Look of the Day: Pinafore Dress

Pinafore Dress
Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend.

You may remember this Dorothy Perkins dress from my haul post in September (here). It was love at first sight so I knew it had to find its way to my wardrobe the moment.

For me, pinafore dresses are the epitome of effortless cool look. I usually layer them with shirts but as temperatures dropped down over the past few days, I teamed my pinny with a black roll neck sweater. To complete the look I added ankle booties which are my go to shoes this season.

Zaful Review

Zaful midi dress review
I love discovering new brands but I'm always cautious when it comes to buying products from shops based outside the UK. I'm sure you've all heard some horror stories about Asian retailers not fulfilling orders or sending wrong items.

That's why when Zaful got in touch with me to offer a collaboration, I did an extensive research to check whether they're genuine. Once I read raving reviews and checked out their website, I knew they would be a great fit for my blog.

For those of you who haven't heard of Zaful before, they are a one-stop destination for unique and affordable clothing. Their range is huge so after much deliberation I finally opted for a patterned long sleeved dress and a magnetic closure metal chain cross body bag. Sadly the bag has sold out now.

Both items arrived within 2 weeks and really exceeded my expectations. I was initially worried that the dress would be too small as Asian women are usually petite but size L fits me like a glove. It looks a lot more expensive in real life and adds a great pop of colour to my autumnal wardrobe.

The bag will get plenty of use this party season as it's big enough to fit all my essentials. The metallic chain is a bonus as I'm not the biggest fan of clutches.

Overall, I'm really happy with my picks.  I'd definitely shop with Zaful. Their customer service is good and the shipping time is reasonable providing that items arrive from Asia.

Have you shopped with Zaful before? What is your experience?

Autumnal Coat

Autumnal coat
Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. I'm really sorry about the lack of posts last week. The past few days were really hectic and I had no time or energy to work on my blog. I hope you didn't miss me too much ;)

Today I'm back with a new look featuring one of my autumnal coats. As you probably know, I'm not a huge fan of this time of year. Days are just too short and cold.

At least I have a growing collection of coats which keep me warm on chilly days. The one I'm wearing today first debuted on my blog last year (here). I got it for free thanks to Tesco's Clubcard points (thank you Tesco). I love it as it comes with a detachable faux fur trim which can be easily removed to create different looks.

Winterproof Wardrobe Wishlist

Have you ever wished you could hibernate and wake up in spring? I do that pretty much every day when I leave my house in the morning.

With winter chill in the air, it may be tricky to stay warm and stylish at the same time. Luckily this year, most high street shops stepped up their game and brought out amazing collections to help us look fabulous whatever the weather throws at us. Here are some of the things I'd love to add to my closet.

30 Things I Learnt In 30 Years

30 Things I Learnt In 30 Years

Happy Early Birthday to me. I can't believe I'll turn 30 when the clock strikes midnight tonight.

I don't usually make a great fuss over my birthdays but as I'm reaching a new milestone in my life, I thought I'd do something different and reflect on what I've learnt so far. Here we go...

1. Be your own biggest cheerleader.
2. NEVER settle for anything less than you deserve.
3. Keep your friends close.
4. Cut toxic people out of your life.
5. Embrace your quirks, even those which seem to be really silly.
6. Love your body. Imperfections are beautiful.
7. Comparison is the thief of joy. Period.
8. Never stop chasing your dreams.
9. Try new things.
10. Be spontaneous once in a while.
11. Never stop learning.
12. Sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith.
13. Be grateful for everything that has happened to you.
14. Practice random acts of kindness.
15. Stay hydrated.
16. It's not a good idea to eat chocolate for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
17. Remember that you don't have to please everyone.
18. It's not the end of the world if you fail.
19. Remember that some things are out of control.
20. Some people don't deserve a second chance.
21. It's OK to ask for help.
22. Say what you mean, mean what you say.
23. Let it go. Don't waste your energy on things and people that are not meant for you.
24. Forgive.
25. You don't need a plan for everything.
26. You can never have too many shoes.
27. Be patient. Some things take time.
28. Get enough sleep.
29. Stop worrying about what other people may think about you.
30. Smile every day.

Ruffled Up

Ruffled F&F blouse
Even if you don't follow the latest trends, I'm sure you couldn't fail to notice that ruffles are everywhere this season.

Although I have a few blouses with these pretty detailing, I couldn't stop myself from adding another one to my collection. What can I say? I'm a sucker for pretty, feminine blouses that I can wear both to work and on my days off with jeans.

If you're pear shaped like me, ruffled tops will do wonders for your body shape. They will take emphasis away from your wider hips and draw it to the top half of the body.

What do you think about the ruffle trend?
