Although they were available in most high street shops, I couldn't find the one. The biggest problem I encountered was with the length as some of the dresses barely covered my thighs. Then when I was about to give up my search, I stumbled across the F&F dress I'm showing you today. It could have been slightly longer but beggars can't be choosers.
That experience inspired me to write today's post and share with you some of my #tallgirlproblems. At 5'9" I'm not a giant but there've been times I wished I was a bit shorter.
Trying to find a dress that is decent length
It seems that some retailers have forgotten about women who are tall. There are some shops on high street where I don't even step my foot in as I know that dresses they stock will look like shirts on me.
Trying to find jeans that aren't capri trousers
Dear retailers, can you please expand your tall section?
'How is the weather up there?' question
Seriously? I'm not even that tall.
'You're tall. Why do you wear heels?' question
I don't care how tall I am. I love heels.
When your online date turns out to be shorter than you although he claimed he is 6'00"
If you follow me regularly you may have seen a post about my struggles with online dating (here). My experience has taught me that so many men lie about their height in their profiles. Why can't they be honest? I don't care if someone is slightly shorter than me. I just need to be prepared for this.
Getting your head off in pictures
You don't even know how many photos like that I have on my phone.
Having to awkwardly pose to take photos
I guess you have to suffer if you don't want to get your head cut off in photos.
Not being able to stretch your legs on a plane
How I wish I had the money to fly first class.
