Let's imagine a life without any problems, chores and to-do lists. Wouldn't it be amazing if we could wave a magic wand and get everything done within seconds?
Sadly, we aren't wizards. We are only humans who often take on more than we can chew. As a result, we are sometimes left feeling overwhelmed by the simplest tasks and have absolutely no idea where to start.
You're probably wondering why I'm telling you this. Well, a few months ago I went through a period when I really struggled to maintain a balance in my life. At some point I even considered giving up on blogging but then with the help of my family I realised that I can take some actions to change the way I think and get back on track.
Take a deep breath
Give your mind a rest. Simply step back, take a deep breath and try looking at things from a different perspective.
Write everything down
Take a piece of paper and jot down all ideas and tasks. This small task will help you unclutter your brain.
Is your to-do list 20 pages long? Don't worry. You don't have to do everything at once. Break your list into categories and focus on things that need to be done first.
Go for a walk or exercise
Are you looking for more reasons to get active? Exercise can certainly improve your creativity.
Take a break from social media
We can't deny that social media plays a significant part in our lives. Although it's a great tool, we often spend too much time online focusing on others and their accomplishments. That, over time, can lead us to anxiety and low self-esteem. So next time when you feel overwhelmed, simply turn off your notifications and do a digital detox. It really helps!
