When I was shooting photos for today's post, the British weather wasn't on my side. A strong wind kept messing my hair and the sun played the game of hide and seek. Despite taking over 100 hundred photos, I managed to select only a few shots that somehow show my outfit in its full glory.
Although this ensemble is very simple, it made me feel like I stepped back to the 1950s. I'm pear-shaped so I usually struggle to find well-fitted pencil skirts. They're either too tight around my hips or too big on the waist. This M&S piece; however, fits me like a glove so I really regret not buying it in different colours.
For this retro-inspired look, I teamed the skirt with this little F&F boat neck sweater that I embellished with a brooch from my shop (sorry the little plug here). I also added a greyish clutch and nude heels that I got last year in the Next sale.
