I have a confession to make-I'm a massive clothes hoarder. Over the years I've developed an emotional connection with my clothes making it extremely hard for me to throw anything away.
However, as spring is in full mode, I decided that I should make an attempt to finally organise my wardrobe and get rid of some of the things that definitely won't fit me anymore. After all, I can only dream of being able to squeeze my bum into size 8 jeans (enter a sigh emoji here).
So with my big clear out planned for the weekend, today I wanted to share with you the staple items I'll certainly be keeping and wearing this season.
A trench coat is the most versatile and classic item every woman should have in her wardrobe. Last autumn I showed you a purple coat which I got for free thanks to Tesco clubcard points (here). I love it and can't wait to wear again this year.
Dressed down or up, printed dresses are a universal life-saviour.
Short and long-sleeved tees are perfect on it's own or underneath a blazer or biker jacket if you aim for an edgy look.
I know I've talked about blanket wraps at least million times (here, here or here). They're perfect for layering so please forgive me if you see them on the blog again.
Although my collection of shoes have grown to 105 pairs thanks to the slipper shoes you could see on my Instagram page, nude heels are the staple footwear style that do wonders to any outfit.
I think it's safe to say that most of us love jeans.
I'm a proud owner of a few coloured blazers that can refresh any look (here, here or here).
What are your staples items for spring? What would you add to my list?
