Beauty Hacks to Make Your Life Easier
When I decided to set up a blog in 2014, I knew I wouldn't become a beauty blogger. I have a very sensitive and acne-prone skin so I'm always wary of trying new products. That rules beauty blogging out as have you ever seen a beauty blogger who doesn't review creams or foundations?
However, today I thought I'd feature a beauty-related topic on My Daily Wear as I wanted to share with you beauty hacks and tips I've learnt over the years. I'm not a guru but hopefully these simple tricks will help to make your life a little bit easier. Let me know if you've tried them before.
For puffy eyes
Do your eyes look and feel puffy when you wake up? Store your eye cream in the fridge. Cool cream will soothe the skin around your eyes and reduce puffiness.
To fix a crumbly eye pencil
Does a tip of your favourite wooden pencil break the moment it hits the blade? To solve the issue, simply pop a pencil in the fridge for about 10 minutes before sharpening it.
To make your lipstick last longer
If you want to prevent your lipstick from slipping too soon, lightly coat your lips with translucent powder before applying lip colour.
To speed dry your nails
If you don't have time or patience to sit around and wait for your nail polish to finish drying, then dip your nails in ice cold water for about 2-3 minutes.
To rescue dry cuticles
I'm sure most of you keep a lip balm in your bag. Did you know you can use it to soften your cuticles when you're on-the-go?
To banish nail stains
If you want to get rid of stubborn nail stains, simply mix a little baking soda with some water and soak your hands for 10 minutes.
For soft feet
Do you want to get baby soft tootsies? Moisturise your feet and sleep in thin cotton socks.
