My Packing Essentials

My packing essentials-what I take on every trip

Happy Wednesday! How's is your week going?

I'm really excited about my upcoming trip to Poland. Although it won't be a fancy holiday giving me an opportunity to snap Instagram worthy photos, I can't wait to get out of London. The last few months weren't the best for me due to some personal issues, so I'm really looking forward to having some break to relax and collect my thoughts.

The only aspect of the trip I'm not excited about is the fact that I have to pack my suitcase. Does anyone know a packing fairy who could help the girl out?

Packing was never my favourite chore but over the years I've managed to make the process slightly easier by compiling a list of essentials I take with me everywhere I go.

what I take on every trip

A blanket wrap
Blanket wraps are not only perfect for transitioning between seasons (here). They also come a long way when travelling so I always make sure I have one in my hand luggage just in case it gets chilly on a plane.

A Sweater/Cardigan
Weather can be pretty unpredictable in most countries. And if I'm lucky to go to warmer climes, I wear a sweater/cardi in the evenings or when I'm in restaurants, shops etc as the A/C in public places is usually on at full blast.

Jeans
Jeans are such a staple item. They're also quite heavy so I end up wearing them to save space in the suitcase.

Slippers/Flip Flops
I don't like walking bare foot in a hotel room. As not all hotels provide complimentary slippers, I always keep a spare pair in my suitcase.

Travel Sewing kit
There's nothing worse than a clothing emergency when you're far from home. That's why I always make sure I have a mini sewing kit with me as it's ideal for easy and quick repairs.

Comfortable shoes
It goes without saying that comfortable shoes are a must to keep my feet
happy while sightseeing.

Are you travelling any time soon? Do you have any packing tips?
