When I published my last month's recap on Monday (here), I realised that most of the outfits that I featured on the blog in January were fairly casual.
I feel like I owe you an explanation for what happened because if you visit my blog regularly you know that I usually opt for more polished looks as seen here or here.
Basically I left my job in December and I've been at home ever since polishing my CV and looking for a new role in PR/Communications that will be more challenging and give me a chance to utilise my skills and experience. I've also been focusing on growing my blog and meeting the goals which I told you about at the beginning of the year.
As the main objective of My Daily Wear is to show you my real self, I didn't want to spend the last 4 weeks playing dress up and pretending that I'm running around in heels when in fact I spent most of the time on the sofa glued to my laptop.
However, today I finally have a reason to show you a smarter outfit as I'm heading to a meeting later on this afternoon. Although it'll be an informal chat, I still want to make a good impression and show that I'm a professional who knows her trade.
Hence, I decided to opt for a midi dress and a black blazer that are perfect for a fuss-free styling. I also added an eye-catching turtle brooch which may be a great conversation starter.
