October Period Box

period box

It's the time of the month when I can show you what I found inside my October Period Box, which once again came to my rescue at most difficult time (yes, I know I may be exaggerating but I'm sure you know what I mean).

Periods are certainly a bane of my life. I often wonder why women have them. Wouldn't our lives be easier if we didn't have to struggle with mood swings, cramps and pains every month? Luckily I discovered Period Box which helps me get through those tough days in the nicest possible way.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Period Box, it is a premium monthly subscription service for periods. It delivers your tampons and pads along with hand-selected sweets, teas and luxury beauty samples directly to your door, every 4 weeks. Plus, it can be customised in order to allow you to mix and match your products to suit your individual needs.

When I opened my box, I was pleased to see that it was brimmed to the top. Inside I found 20 pads which I opted for on the website, 8 pantyliners and a mix of of items to enjoy and indulge on.

Among the beauty goodies there were Drift Away Milk Soak from Life NK and a Vegan Vanilla Lip Balm from Fair Squard. The balm doesn't only contain natural products such as apricot kernel oil, almond and coconut oils and cocoa better but it also smells amazingly.

When it comes to treats, this month I received 3 tea samples from Pukka, Roasted Seeds and Soya with Goji Berry and a Hello Strawberry Cheescake Bar from Lindt.

Finally, my box contained a lovely illustration and a self-adhesive heat pad, which helps relieve cramps and abdominal pain.

What do you think about Period Box? Is it a service you would consider subscribing to?

It's All About a Blanket Cape

blanket cape

A few days ago someone asked me what was the must-have item this season. I'm not a fashion expert but I said that it must be a cape.

Although capes made an official come back onto a fashion scene in 2014, this year they are even bigger and better. You certainly can't miss them as they are everywhere from high street shops to big catwalks.

Perfect for layering, blanket capes have been part of my autumn/winter survival kit for years. I love wearing them over knitwear on warmer days or on top of a coat to keep the chill at bay when temperatures drop.

Have you invested in a cape this season?

Grey Hues

checked trousers

Although I'm a self-proclaimed lover of everything that is bold and bright, there are some days when I'm not in a mood to channel colourful outfits. Yesterday was certainly one of these days.

I woke up with a massive headache and wished I could stay in bed. However, as I had to roll myself out of bed and face the day, I opted for a waterfall cardigan and trousers in grey hues that matched my mood. And to finish off the look I wore my new metallic brogues. Aren't they gorgeous?

Blossoming Gifts

"Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul."
Luther Burbank

I think it's safe to say that all women love receiving flowers. Whether it's for a special occasion or for no reason whatsoever, they put a smile on everyone's face.

So when a lovely team from Blossoming Gifts* contacted me and asked if I wanted to review their flowers, I couldn't say no.

I love fresh flower bouquets and try to buy some a few times a year. However, I have always been a bit hesitant about ordering them online as I worried that they would get damaged in transit.

If you are like me, then rest assured that flower delivery from Blossoming Gifts arrives promptly and in a perfect condition.

When a postman knocked on my door, I was handed a box that contained a carefully wrapped bouquet called 'Autumn Haze'. It featured beautifully arranged lilac roses, purple eustoma and burgundy berries that helped me bring some autumn into my home. There was also a small box of chocolates which I devoured in seconds.

The Blossoming Gifts flowers are of great quality so whether you are looking for a perfect gift for a loved one or some cheap flowers to brighten up your mood, there is plenty to choose from.

And as a My Daily Wear reader, you can now take advantage of a special offer and receive 33% off any bouquet with the code BGIFTS33. Please note that the code cannot be used on a 'Flowers by Post' range.

Have you ever ordered flowers online? What are your thoughts of this new type of service?

Autumn Trench

trench coat

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a great week.

Today I wanted to show you my new trench coat, which I got for FREE. (Yes, you heard me right. I didn't have to pay for it :)) You must be wondering how that is possible. Am I right?

Well, I am a savvy shopper who religiously collects Tesco clubcard points. As you know, Tesco rewards everyone by converting the points into vouchers that can be used online or in-store. I usually spend them on food but last month I decided to do something different and treat myself to a new autumn coat.

Thank you Tesco. Every little certainly helps :)

My Little Creative Box

my little creative box

Yay! After a long four-week wait (yes, I know I'm a little exaggerating), my October My Little Box has arrived. It's certainly the best beauty/lifestyle subscription box available on the British market so I always wait impatiently for the postman to knock on my door.

my little box

This month the My Little Box team has collaborated with the most creative social network aka Pinterest to bring us My Little Creative Box.

As always, the box arrived in a super cute packaging and was full of goodies. Among them I found two creams: My Little Beauty's Mindnight Cream that promises to nourish the skin and erase signs of fatigue while you sleep; and a hydrating body cream from Baija that smells divinely and contains a blend of cupcucaacu and shea butters, coconut oil, beeswax and jojoba. There was also a Nails inc nail varnish in Tate red that has been a favourite of mine for a very long time.

When it comes to lifestyle products, this month My Little Box featured wire-wrap beads that can be used to decorate earphones and a lovely tote bag that has been made from a very sturdy material.

Look of the Day: Autumnal Colours

Although autumn is not my favourite season due to the cold weather, I have always liked clothes and accessories in rich shades of berry, red or burnt orange. They are typically associated with current season and remind me about the changing colours of leaves.

Hence, when I spotted these coloured trousers at Tesco the other day, I knew I had to get them. They are super chic and look perfect when paired with the lace panel top and my new monochrome heels.

What do you think about autumnal colours? Which one is your favourite?
