My Daily Wear is 1 Year Old!

I can't believe that My Daily Wear is 1 year old!

When I started my blog 12 months ago, I simply wanted to have a platform I could use to share photos of my every day outfits. As my style is nothing out of ordinary, I never expected anyone would stop by to take a look at what I post.

I'm extremely touched to read your positive comments and I'm grateful for the words of encouragement. I promise I'll strive to improve my blog and I hope that you will continue to be part of my blogging journey.

Period Box

period box

Ugh, periods. Wouldn't our lives be easier if we didn't experience an arrival of an unwanted visitor every month?

Right now you are probably wondering what I'm on about. I know this post may seem strange given the type of my blog but please bear with me.

Periods have a huge impact on our lives, especially when they are at their height. They often cause extremely painful cramps and put us in a bad mood. I'm sure all of you know what I'm talking about.

I always dread the arrival of the time of the month. As it makes me really cranky and emotional, all I want is to stay in bed during this 7-day long affair.

So when I came across Period Box, I knew I had to give it a go. I don't know if you heard about the concept before but it's a premium monthly subscription service for periods.

time of the month

Period Box provides you with tampons and pads as well as hand-picked goodies and treats to get you through those tough days in the nicest possible way. It can be completely customised to fit your needs so you are free to mix and match your products depending on your flow.

When I opened my box, I was really pleased to see that all products were beautifully wrapped in a custom design tissue paper. Inside I found 20 Always pads for day/night, which I opted for earlier on the website, 8 pantyliners and a selection of items to enjoy, indulge on and use to make my period more bearable.

Among the beauty goodies there were Au Lait Body Milk and Shower Gel from Scottish Fine Soaps, SASS Intimate Purifying Cleanser and an Intimate Perfect Skin Concentrate that helps to prevent ingrown hairs and soothes skin after shaving or waxing.

As period pain is something I know too well, I was happy to receive a Masterplast self adhesive heat pad which is ideal for stomach cramps and back pains. It is fragrance free and can be easily applied to clothing/underwear to bring relief for up to 8 hours.

Finally, my first Period Box contained a cute illustration, 3 Her Tea tea bags and Seed and Bean Organic Coconut and Raspberry Chocolate Bar, which was simply heavenly!

Have you heard about Period Box before? What do you think about this idea?

Hello Autumn

Wednesday, 23rd September marked the start of the astronomical autumn. Sadly this means that from now on days will be getting shorter and colder.

I'm not a huge fan of autumn but I decided to officially welcome the season by wearing a top and skirt in a typical autumnal colour scheme.

What do you think of my choice? Did you do anything to celebrate the beginning of a new season?

P.S I'm sorry about the bad great quality of the photos. I took them early in the evening after work when the light wasn't good.

Printed Trousers, I Love You

printed trousers

I can officially say that I'm in love with printed trousers. Ever since I tried the first pair on (here), I can't stop myself from buying more.

I'm particularly fond of these trousers as they are made from a comfortable and lightweight fabric. They also have an elastic band so I don't have to worry about squeezing into them after a heavy meal :)

My Little Fashion Box

My Little Box

September is a fashion month. So, I wasn't surprised when I found out that fashion was also a theme of this month's My Little Box.

My Little Fashion Box

As always I couldn't wait for my delivery. It took a little longer than anticipated but when it finally arrived I wasn't disappointed!

My Little Fashion Box came packed with an array of beauty goodies which were exactly what I needed. Inside I found Hydrating BB cream from La Roche-Posay,  Kerastase Couture Styling Laque Noire, a set of adhesive nail decals by Alfa-K and My Little Beauty lip cream. The lip cream has a very rich raspberry colour and stays put all day.

When it comes to a lifestyle product, this month the team at My Little Box decided to treat us to a lovely monochrome scarf which is made from a lightweight and soft fabric. It's perfect for the upcoming season and can be worn in lots of different ways.

In addition, there was also a mini bottle of Cointreau and a booklet with 3 cocktail recipes. Although I personally don't drink alcohol, I'm going to keep it in case I have guests who fancy a tasty drink.

Overall, I think that My Little Fashion Box has been the best one to date. I love all the products and can't wait to see what I'll find inside next month.

Loving It!

I'm sure most of you own or have owned a pair of Mary Janes at some point in your life. I'm a huge fan of this feminine and practical shoe so I was extremely pleased to see that they're firmly back on the fashion map.

Here are 5 of my favourite styles right now. If only I wasn't trying to save money, they would all have a special place in my shoe cupboard:)

Denim Affair

denim trend

Once upon a time I had a love affair with denim. I owned denim dungarees, skirts, dresses and jackets in multiple colours. Needless to say, I was a true denim lover.

However, over time my taste has changed. I had a drastic wardrobe makeover and decided that the only denim I'd wear would be in the form of trousers.

I sticked to that promise for many years. But then everything changed when I spotted this maxi denim dress in a shop window a few weeks ago. It reminded me of old times and was on sale for £15 so I thought that it would be a shame if I didn't buy it. Do you agree? ;)

What do you think about the denim trend? How do you wear it?
