Last Month

I can't believe that August is almost over. It is me or is time just flying by?

I have to say that August treated me very well. I properly settled into my job, spent a Bank Holiday Weekend in Poland and won a blogger competition run by Joe Browns.

I don't think I mentioned it earlier but the team at Joe Browns really liked my post featuring their latest Autumn collection (here) and sent me a voucher worth £50. It was a third time I ever won anything in my life so I was jumping for joy.

How was your August? Did anything significant happen for you?

Look of the Day: Casual Friday

casual Friday

Happy Friday! I hope you have had a great week.

I'm sure all of you have days when you feel drained of energy and can't be bothered to get dressed. That was me today!

I wished I could stay in bed all day and couldn't face the idea of having to put together a polished office look. Instead, I took advantage of the 'casual Friday' concept and opted for jeans, basic chiffon blouse and a blazer.

Splash of Purple

splash of purple

Following on from my post on Friday (here), today I wanted to show you another pair of gorgeous coloured trousers I added to my summer wardrobe this year.

According to many articles, purple combines the calm stability of blue and the fierce energy of red. Lately, it's one of my favourite colours as it represents creativity, which I try to embrace.

Do you like purple? If not, what's your favourite colour?

My Little Gypset Box

my little gypset box

Do you know what 'gypset*' means? To be honest I wasn't able to answer this question myself until I saw the contents of this month's My Little Box.

my little box

As usual, it came beautifully packaged and contained an array of cosmetic and lifestyle products that are perfect for summer. Among them, I found a tube of Korres Basil Lemon Body Milk that has a divine zesty scent; a lip/cheek in a rich Marsala shade; and a bronzing powder by My Little Beauty.

When it comes to lifestyle products, this month the team at My Little Box collaborated with Anitk Batik to gift us with a gorgeous boho inspired bucket bag. It is made from a sturdy material and has plenty of room for all the bits and bobs you may need while heading to the city or the beach.

Oh, and I almost forgot about a set of 4 elastic hair ties which may also be used as wristbands. As you know I have short hair so I gave them to my sister who uses them to hold her hair up in a messy bun.

What do you think about My Little Gypset Box? Which product appeals to you the most?

Some Coloured Trousers

coloured trousers

Do you remember how last week I told you that I stepped out of my comfort zone and bought a pair of patterned trousers? (here)

Well, the day after I got them, I decided to go even further and treat myself to some coloured trousers, too. To be honest I'm still in shock that I made such a bold move. Don't get me wrong, I love bright colours but I never thought I'd be wearing them on my bottom.

What do you think about my choice? Have you recently invested in clothes you thought you would never wear?

Look of the Day: Something Lavender

pastel look

Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great week.

Today I'm back with a 'Look of the Day' featuring the lavender satchel, which first debuted on the blog a couple of weeks ago (here). I know I'm biased but I think it's adorable and looks perfect when teamed with the floral dress in a similar shade.

What do you think?

Maxi Skirt

maxi skirt

If you have visited my blog within the past week or so (I really hope you have), you have probably noticed that I started wearing a lot of maxi skirts.

Maxi skirts have always been my summer wardrobe staple. I love how they swish when I walk and how easy it is slip into one on the weekend to nail off-duty dressing with ease.

This season there is an abundance of maxi skirts in shops so it seems like they have become a must-have separate for day or night. Well, after all no summer wardrobe is complete without one and you can't have too many skirts in your collection.

Have you invested in a maxi skirt this season? What style did you opt for?
