Last Month

I can't believe July is almost over. If I had to sum up the month in one word, I would say that it was a bit strange.

On one hand I started a new job which I absolutely love. It's really challenging and allows me to meet new people. On the other hand, some of the things in my personal life didn't go according to plan. But I guess that's how it was meant to be...

Oh well, I'm not going to despair as I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Do you agree?

How was your July? Did anything exciting happen for you?

Floral Look

floral heels

I'm in LOVE (no I haven't met Prince Charming yet but I'm still hopeful that he will knock on my door soon :)). I'm in love with the floral shoes from Primark that are making a debut on the blog today.

To be honest I always hated Primark. I couldn't understand why some people were obsessed with that shop. Their clothes looked and felt really cheap so whenever I spotted Primark in my vicinity, I gave it a wide berth.

However, on my latest trip into town I was caught in the rain so in order not to get completely soaked I decided to suck it up and venture into a Primark branch.

I was quite surprised with what I saw as the clothes seemed really nice; they had really lovely summer dresses which I'd definitely wear myself. And then when I was about to leave, I spotted this gorgeous heels and oh boy I really fell in love.

Smart enough for work but cool enough for off-duty, these beauties are a real statement piece. I think they have a catwalk feel to them so I'm definitely going to wear them with everything from pencil skirts to culottes and jeans.

What do you think about Primark? Do you shop there a lot?

Look of the Day: Smart Trousers

Do you ever go through a period when you would wear some clothes non-stop and then you would refuse to put them on?

I used to have a love-hate relationship with trousers. As a teenager, I was overweight, had a low self-esteem, and was bullied by others at school. I often wished I could be invisible and wore baggy trousers to hide my flaws.

But then everything changed when I started university. I went on a diet and exercised regularly to shed excess pounds. As my body started changing, I rediscovered my love to dresses and high heels. I hid all trousers at the back of my wardrobe and swore I would never wear them again.

Well, I didn't exactly stick to this promise but my 'trouser ban' lasted for over a year.

Look of the Day: Co-ord

When I was younger (gosh, I feel so old now) I avoided wearing two piece suits as they were black and boring.

However, as fashion evolved, co-ordinates have gone through a transformation. They are now available in so many different colours and styles to help us make a statement. Plus they can be styled individually for a whole other look so what's not to like :)

P.S. The photos don't do my suit any justice. It's grey with tiny stripes but sadly that's not clearly visible here.

New In

Dear River Island,

Why did you tempt me? Do you know about my weakness for your bags? You sent me emails about your sale and after a while I gave in and decided to expand my collection.

P.S. I absolutely love my latest purchases but my bank account doesn't share the same feelings.

Best wishes

As you can see I broke my shopping ban and treated myself to 2 new bags. Oops...My only excuse is that they were both on sale so it would have been a shame not to get them.

Did you buy anything lately? Do you get easily tempted during sales?

My Little Road Trip Box

my little road trip box

Raise your hand if you like road trips! (Wow, I didn't expect to see a sea of raised hands ;)). I also love them, because every time I get behind the wheel I feel like Thelma and Louise. I break out of my 'normal' life and brace myself for new adventures.

my little box

So, as you are like me, I'm sure you would love July's edition of My Little Box entailed My Little Road Trip Box. Just like all the previous boxes, it came in a beautiful packaging and featured Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, which I've already been familiar with, Essie Nail Polish in a turquoise shade, gold temporary tattoos by DCER and Summer Sorbet -After Sun Body Gelee by My Little Beauty. The gel has a lovely texture and smells divine. I strongly recommend it to anyone who is planning to sunbathe this summer.

When it comes to lifestyle products, this month's goodies have been designed to make travelling a little bit easier. Inside my box I found a waterproof travel organiser with several pockets and a large zip lock section, a postcard sized notebook and a BIC pen that doubles as a stylus.

Overall, I'm really pleased with this month's box and can't wait to see what My Little Box is planning for its subscribers next month.

What do you think about My Little Road Trip Box? What product appeals to you the most?

Summer Outfit

summer outfit

Happy Friday! Today I wanted to show you one of my favourite summer outfits, which I've been wearing for the past 3 or 4 seasons.

It's bright, feminine and elegant without being OTT so it ticks all my boxes and will serve me well for the next few years.
