BAFTA #FearlessFriday Competition with Adverdose

‘Be yourself and wear what you want’. That’s my motto.

So when the lovely team from Adverdose invited me to take part in their BAFTA #FearlessFriday competition run in partnership with House of Fraser, I knew I had to get involved.

As the concept of the competition was to celebrate one's individuality and have fun with fashion, I decided to put together a look featuring my must have items for spring: bright yellow bag and printed top and heels. Although the outfit is fairly simple, it truly reflects my personality and sense of style.

I would be extremely grateful if you could please support me and vote for my #FearlessFriday look. All you have to do is watch my short video and click on the smiley face :)

Your support means a lot to me.

Thank you

Biker Jacket

Happy Monday. I hope you’re enjoying a long weekend.

Today I wanted to show you my beloved biker jacket which I can’t live without during warmer months.

The biker jacket is the ultimate investment piece. As it is extremely versatile, it can be worn with almost anything.  You can team it with skinny jeans and T-shirt for a full rock chic look or wear with a floral dress to add a bold edge to your outfit.

I usually wear my jacket on days off with jeans and flats when I’m super lazy and don’t want to dress to the nines. Today, however I made an exception and teamed it with a body con dress and brogues.

What do you think about the look? Do you own a biker jacket? How do you wear it?

Look of the Day: Peter Pan Floral Dress

Happy Friday! The week is almost over and I'm super excited about the upcoming Bank Holiday weekend.

I just hope that it is warm and sunny as this week has been rather crazy weather-wise. Monday and Tuesday were really horrid here in London and for a moment I thought that autumn made a comeback. Luckily the temperature rose and we are back into the spring mode.

So to celebrate the 'spring awakening' I decided to wear a floral dress with Peter Pan collar. I teamed it with a bright yellow bag which always brings the sunshine back into my life.

My Little Provence Box

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen that I finally received the May edition of My Little Box. As a huge fan of the box, I was eagerly awaiting the next delivery. In fact I kept calling my Mum every day from work to see whether it had arrived.

This month the team at My Little Box has collaborated with L'Occitane to give us a taste of Provence just in time for summer voyages. And to make sure we're ready to hit the road, they provided a selection of 4 travel-sized beauty products: L'Occitane Mer & Mistral Shower Gel, L'Occitane Verbena Leaf Soap, L'Occitane Verben Body Lotion and L'Occitane Roses et Reines Hand & Nail Cream. There was also a metallic bronze creamy eye crayon from My Little Box's own make up range.

Of course My Little Box wouldn't be complete without lifestyle/fashion products. This month it included some fridge magnets and a gold plated cuff. The bracelet is perfect for those who love a bit of DIY as it can be customised thanks to two bobbins of thick blue cord.

What do you think about My Little Provence Box? I think it's absolutely worth £14.95 I pay every month.

1 Dress, 7 Ways Part 4

Happy Monday. I hope you had a great weekend. I can't believe that it's over.

It was a very productive one for me as I finally managed to tick off all the points from my 'to-do list.' I scrubbed my house, washed my car and sorted out my wardrobe. That last thing wasn't easy as over the years I accumulated so many clothes. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that some of them still have their tags on. Oops.

Sunday however was my rest day. The weather in London was lovely so I decided to go for a walk. As you can see from the pictures I wore the dress from my challenge. This time I teamed it with a beige trench coat and brogues. I know it's a very simple look but sometimes simplicity is the best.

Have a great day :)

Dress Cinch Clips - Perfect Alternative to a Belt

Do you sometimes find yourself standing in front of the mirror and pinching in your dress to make it more fitted in the waist area? I am asking this question as this is the story of my life.

As a typical pear I often struggle to find dresses that fit me like a glove. Although size 12 fits perfectly on the top, it is too clingy at the bottom. Size 14 on the other hand skims over my thighs and hips but is too roomy around the waist. Nevertheless I am forced to go for the bigger size and need to rely on belts to define my waistline.

What's wrong with that I hear you say? Technically nothing as belts have always been seen as a great fashion accessory that can transform an outfit in seconds. But I find them incredibly uncomfortable, especially when I sit at my desk for 8 hours.

So for a very long time I tried to come up with a solution to my problem. I remembered that my mum once had this cinch clip which she attached to the back of a dress or shirt to make it more fitted. Apparently it was very popular in early 90s.

However, as nothing like this is available on High Street, it then hit me that I should make the clip myself.

That's how my dress cinch clips were born. I know I'm biased but I think they are fabulous. They can be used with any dress, top, or shirt so they really do save an outfit!  Plus they are decorative so you don't have to worry about wearing other accessories.

Simply gather the fabric in the area that needs cinching and attach the clip. As you can see on the photos below, your waist will be more defined giving you some curves.

The dress cinch clips are now available at IZPROJECT, which is my online boutique with jewellery and fashion accessories (shameless plug, I know ;)).

Have you heard about the cinch clips before? Would you consider wearing something like that?  I will be adding new designs soon so I'd love to know what you think.
