Last Month

As April is drawing to a close, it's time for my usual 'Last Month' recap.

April has always been of my favourite months. It's the time when everything comes alive and the world around seems to be more colourful.

Earlier this  month we were lucky enough to get some great weather here in London with temperatures reaching up to 22 degrees Celsius. I was so excited to be finally able to put away my boots and enjoy some sunshine.

Here are some of my favourite looks from the past month. Which one is your favourite?

Look of the Day: Black and Red

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. It's going to be my first full 5-day working week in a month so I'm preparing to face the heavy workload. At least I am wearing my bright red skirt to lift my mood on this chilly Monday morning.

Have a great day!

My Little Dream Box

Today I'm excited to show you My Little Dream Box, which is the latest addition to My Little Box collection.

It's safe to say that My Little Box has become my little treat and I'm always so ecstatic when I get an email telling me that my next box is on its way. As someone who has a very curious nature, I find it so hard not to look for spoilers of what is inside.

This month's box certainly didn't disappoint me. It has a dream theme which reflects my current mood to do what I always dreamt of. Like previous boxes it came in a cute packaging and included fab beauty products: My Little Beauty's Repairing Mask for Dry Ends; Nominoë face cleanser and Lip Balm Loved by Lou Lesage. Sadly due to my sensitive skin I didn't want to risk trying the cleanser on my skin. Instead I gave it to my sister who absolutely loved it.

When it comes to lifestyle products, inside My Little Dream Box I found a dainty necklace which I am going to use as a wrap bracelet, a rotating stamp with 12 lovely messages and a black ink pad. There was also My Little World magazine which came in a new poster like format.

I would certainly recommend My Little Box to everyone and can't wait for the May edition to come through my door.

Look of the Day: Floral Swing Dress

Happy Wednesday! How is your week going? I'm enjoying the sunshine here in London and really hope the good weather lasts for a little while.

On warmer days like today I find myself reaching for floral dresses, particularly long-sleeved frocks which are heavily inspired by the 60s. They not only look cute but they are also super versatile so I'll certainly be getting my wear of them.

For example, today I paired this green beauty with nude suede courts and a classic trench  coat for an office look. Over the weekend I will probably layer it with a biker jacket and a cross-body bag instead.

What do you think? How would you style a floral swing dress?

Suede Jacket

After flicking through fashion magazines this month, I couldn't fail to notice the revival of suede. I'm personally a huge fan of this most-on trend texture so I couldn't wait to show you a jacket which I got a few years back. When I first spotted it, I fell in love with the rich colour. Plus it's super soft and easy to wear so it's one of my must-have pieces for spring.

Are you going to wear suede this year? What do you think about the trend?

Quote of the Month

So, it's that time of the month (not this one, I know what you must be thinking) when I am about to show you my favourite fashion related quote.

I absolutely agree with Coco as fashion keeps changing pretty much every day. Something which is now considered to be trendy will probably get outdated really soon.

I have never been a blind follower off all the latest trends. Although I read fashion magazines and try to keep up with the times, I never forget about my own personality and my body type.

Dressing for Temperamental Spring Weather

Happy Wednesday! I hope that you are having a great week.

It seems that spring is in full bloom here in London but I find this time of year really difficult to dress for. Don’t take me wrong. I love spring but this week I just seem to struggle with what to wear to work.

With a massive workload and an event coming up I need to leave home before 6 when it’s still really freezing. Although I check the weather forecast app on my phone, it’s still hard to predict how the day would turn out to be. My coat ends up being redundant by lunch time.

Oh well, I should stop complaining as I don’t want to make Mr Sun angry ;). I only wish I had more time to enjoy the weather.

How do you dress for the temperamental spring weather?

Monochrome Kind of Day

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. It's going to be a crazy week for me at work as I'm preparing for a work event taking place in Birmingham later on this week. I'll do my best to post my regular outfit photos on Wednesday and Friday but if I go quiet then you know why.

Anyway, let me just show you what I'm wearing today. As I'm having a few meetings this afternoon, I opted for a classic office staple aka as a LBD. And to finish off my look, I stole the monochrome coat from my Mum's closet. I absolutely love the pattern and the black finishing on the sleeves and collar. They certainly make the coat look more expensive than it really was.

Monochrome with a Pop of Yellow

Monochrome is the most classic colour scheme. But as a huge fan of brights, I decided to wear this timeless trend with a twist and add a pop of yellow to my outfit.

What do you think about the black, white and yellow combo? Do you think the colours make a good partnership?
